We met Hannah and Nala while volunteering at a no-cost vaccine clinic in Rancho Tehama. Their owner had several female dogs, including one who was pregnant.
Hannah and Nala were picked up by Director from our partner Copper's Dream Rescue and transported to their vet appointment and driven home by Buster's Board Members. This 65 mile roundtrip is a barrier for many in Rancho Tehama, due to lack of reliable transportation and higher fuel costs. By eliminating the need to get to town, we will greatly increase the number of dogs we can spay in this rural community.
Once the last dog has weaned her puppies, the puppies will be surrendered to us and the mama dog will be spayed.
